Bara , Khyber agency — State issues shoot on sight order after last night's attack and residents of Bara Tehsil have been advised to vacate the area for an expected military operation.
The action was taken by security forces, because yesterday militants attacked a security check post, resulting in more than 34 militant deaths. Also, 3 security officers got shahadat in encounter.
According to security forces, the attack on 20 October focused on security forces. Three soldiers embraced shahadat and 8 were injured during the encounter, while 34 militants were killed in the Shalobar area of Tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency. Militants attacked the FC soldiers while they were carrying out search operations in the area. Security forces responded effectively and inflicted heavy casualties on the militants.
According to security forces, Captain Abdul Qadir Khan got shahadat in the encounter with militants. Capt Abdul Qadir Khan was born at Mardan on 14 April 1982. He was commissioned in the Pakistan Army in 2003. During his military service, he served on various appointments. In 2010 Capt Abdul Qadir Khan was posted to Frontier Corps KPK. Serving with the Frontier Corps, he took active part in various operations of the Corps. An extremely daring and selfless officer, he would always be seen at the forefront of any action.
On 20 October, Capt Abdul Qadir Khan fought bravely along with his brave soldiers and repulsed the militants’ attack causing heavy losses to the terrorists and in the process he himself along with 2 other security personnel embraced Shahadat. The funeral ceremony was held at GRC ground Peshawar today and Governor Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa Masood Kasuar also attended the funeral ceremony.
