PESHAWAR: Scores of the students of Frontier College for Women (FCW) held a protest demonstration against the result of BA/BSc in front of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) here on Thursday.
The agitating students burnt their copies and yelled slogans against SBBWU for failing majority of the BA/BSc part I students in English Compulsory.
The students also smashed the window panes of the SBBWU while police were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Umm-e-Rubab, BA part II student, said that "out of 800 students only 35 passed the exams, adding that they became the victim of tussle between university and college’s administration.
Baddar, BA part II, who topped FA said that "those students who did not attend classes throughout the year passed the examination and they got 190 marks out of 285. "Is this possible", she asked. She further said that I asked the varsity’s administration and they said "might be earlier you were good in studies and might be you get weak now".
Another student, Somi alleged that the police misbehaved with them, saying that ‘university’s administration called the police which she said beat them."
Who gave them (male police) right to beat female students? She asked. She further said that we are sports’ students and we brought good name for the institution and they failed us.
"We want justice’, she added.
The students demanded of the concerned authorities to abolish FCW affiliation with SBBWU and affiliate it with University of Peshawar, get their papers re-checked and provide justice to them.
The SBBWU vice chancellor refused to talk to media on this issue.
